After Memorial Day weekend, I am in summer mode. I lighten up my decor with crisp cotton bedding and all windows are opened, allowing the outdoors in. I am also excited for long summer nights outside (something I look forward to all year.)
The days continue to get longer and the sun gets stronger. Trips to summer homes and coastal destinations start to occur. This is also a great time to be home, but maybe you still need a change of pace and perspective? If this is the case, I suggest switching out some of your heavy winter decor, with coastal inspired textures. You can achieve a change of scenery by making a few simple adjustments. With this in mind, I thought I would share a few ideas on how to create a laid back, summery, coastal feel, using natural textures.
